India in Qalat operation
ISLAMABAD: Security forces on Friday eliminated twelve terrorists belongingto the Indian-sponsored militant network Fitna al Hindustan and arrestedone injured militant during an intelligence-based operation in Hasan Lalooarea of Qalat district, officials said.
The operation was launched after precise intelligence reports confirmed thepresence of a major terrorist hideout in the locality. As securitypersonnel approached the compound, the militants opened indiscriminatefire, triggering an intense gunbattle. In the ensuing exchange of fire,twelve terrorists were killed while one sustained injuries and wasapprehended alive.
According to security sources, the detained militant is cooperating withinvestigators and has begun sharing critical information about thenetwork’s structure, funding channels, and future plans. The bodies of theslain terrorists have been moved to a secure facility for identificationprocedures.
A large cache of arms, ammunition, explosives, and communication equipmentwas recovered from the site, indicating that the group was preparing tocarry out major attacks across Balochistan. The seized material includedassault rifles, rocket launchers, hand grenades, and improvised explosivedevices along with propaganda literature linked to the banned outfit.
Military spokespersons described Fitna al Hindustan as a relatively newproxy network allegedly established and financed by Indian intelligenceagencies to destabilise Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan and formerFata regions. The group has previously claimed responsibility for severaltargeted killings and attacks on security personnel.
Clearance and sanitisation operations in the surrounding areas continue asadditional teams sweep the region to neutralize any remaining sleeper cellsor hidden weapon dumps. Local administration has imposed strictrestrictions on movement in Hasan Laloo and adjoining villages until thearea is declared completely secure.
The successful action is being viewed as a significant blow toforeign-sponsored terrorism in Balochistan and reinforces the effectivenessof ongoing intelligence-driven operations across the country. Since theresurgence of counter-terrorism efforts in recent years, hundreds ofmilitants belonging to various anti-state groups have been neutralised insimilar precise strikes.
