WAZIRABAD: According to unofficial result PML-N candidate Iftikhar Cheema narrowly succeeded to win the NA-101 by-election against PTI candidate Ahmad Nasir Chattha.
As per details, the voting process continued from 8am to 5pm without any interruption. PML-N candidate secured 82,420 votes while Ahmad Nasir Chattha got 80,123 votes in by-polls.
PPP candidate Ijaz Cheema remained at third position. Strict security arrangements were made by police to avoid any unpleasant situation.
Victory of PML-N candidate was celebrated by the workers and supporters while they distributed sweets after winning the slot of NA-101.
Prime Minister Nawaz congratulated Iftikhar Cheema to win the slot of NA-101.
It is also worthy to mention here that Iftikhar Cheema succeded in NA-101 in the general elections of 2013 but his victory had been nullified over misinformation about his assets and ordered to conduct elections again.
