LAHORE: (APP) An application has been filed in the Lahore High Court seeking directions to restrain Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan from utterances or actions threatening to overthrow the government.
The civil miscellaneous application was filed by the Lawyers Foundation for Justice through AK Dogar Advocate in a pending matter (Dharna Case).
The petitioner-organization through its application pointed out that it had moved an application for directions to restrain Imran Khan from launching a sit-in at Raiwind, the residence of the Sharif family. But, despite passing a period of two weeks, the application was not attended and fixed for hearing, it added.
“However, Imran Khan continues to indulge in creating hatred and dissatisfaction with duly elected federal government and has provoked the members of party in power which is dangerous for peace in the country”, it added.
The court was requested to issue directions for restraining Imran Khan from utterances or actions threatening to overthrow the government.
