Imran Khan blasts MNA Javaid Latif

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday strongly condemned the alleged use of abusive language by Pakistan Muslim League MNA Jawed Latif against his party’s leader Murad Saeed’s family.

There is a video making rounds on social media in which the PML-N leader could be heard slandering Saeed’s female family members.

Imran Khan took to Twitter to condemn the alleged use of derogatory language. He tweeted: “Stooping to such depths esp in our society where the sanctity of our families is respected by even the worst of enemies is unacceptable (sic)”.

An argument that started during the National Assembly session ended in a scuffle outside between PTI’s Murad Saeed and PML-N’s Javed Latif on Thursday.

After the session, Javed Latif criticised PTI Chairperson Imran Khan’s statements against foreign players who had come to Pakistan to play the final match of Pakistan Super League 2. Latif said even Imran had used harsh words against a people which made him an equal a culprit of hate speech as Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain.

The heated debate led to a scuffle between the two.

The National Assembly Secretariat later on Thursday issued a notification to probe into the brawl between the two MNAs.

The committee will report its findings to the NA Speaker till March 16th 2017, according to the notification.
