*PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaukat Yousafzai onSaturday strongly criticised Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and its chief Sirajul Haqterming them “snake in the grass”*.
JI Ameer Sirajul Haq on Friday stirred a hornet’s nest when he claimed thatPTI received orders ‘from the top’ to vote for Sadiq Sanjrani for the postof Senate chairman.
“I was disappointed at Sirajul Haq’s statement but not amazed, they (theJI) has this habit of criticizing their coalition partners after enjoyingministries for five years, their position is no different than that of asnake in the grass,” Shoukat Yousafzai said while reacting to JI Ameer’sstatement.
Yousafzai also criticised Jamaat-e-Islami for what he termed “use ofreligious politics” to get into government.
“He (Sirajul Haq) shouldn’t forget that if he is in upper house today, itis because of PTI, we gave them (JI) ministries but today they arecriticizing us,” Yousafzai said.
