*New York – The US, as the only opposing member state, prevented the UnitedNations Security Council from issuing a statement in favor of Palestine,said the Permanent Observer of Palestine to the United Nations.*
This is the second time the US, the Zionists’ closest ally, has blocked theUNSC statement on Gaza Strip, said Riyad Mansour.
Calling the US rejection of the statement draft, suggested by Kuwait, ‘veryirresponsible’, Riyad added the veto gave the Zionist regime ‘the greenlight to continue with their onslaught against the civilian population’.
One week after a failed attempt on Saturday to urge the UN SecurityCouncil, to support an independent probe on the deadly protests , Kuwaitdecided to try again, which was blocked by the Washington on Fridayevening.
‘It’s a matter the Security Council should address,’ said Kuwait’s UN envoyMansour al-Otaibi.
