LAHORE – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan had an emotional speechabout his political struggle in last 22 years during the Minar-e-Pakistanrally in Lahore on Sunday.
In his two-hour-long speech, Imran quoted two particular incidentsinvolving party’s Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Awami MuslimLeague supremo Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed and apparently took a jibe at them infront of a massive gathering.
Khan said that Shah Mehmood Quraishi saw him with suspicion when he wasoffered to join PTI, adding that he (Quraishi) must be thinking had I gonemad?.
The PTI chief also referred to Sheikh Rasheed, and said that he(Rasheed)used to call him the leader of ‘Tanga party’, but the same party moved tonext phase when it attracted masses in 2011 on the same ground.
Besides sharing his struggle for the party, the PTI Chairman, Imran Khan,presented 11 point agenda in his rally, which attracted Lahoris in droves.
His points focused on health, tax and education reforms besides vowing toweed out corruption and relying on country’s resources to formulate anindependent foreign policy.
