RAWALPINDI – The 76th Annual Formation Commanders’ Conference was held atGHQ on Friday. According to the ISPR, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwapresided over the conference which was attended by all general officers ofPakistan Army.
The participants were briefed on evolving geo-strategic environment,threats to national security and the challenges. The forum discussedresponse in place and progress of ongoing operations. Progress of OperationRadd-ul-Fasaad, including gradual transition of control of cleared areasfrom military to civil administration, was also deliberated.
The COAS attributed successes achieved so far to great sacrifices by thepeople of Pakistan, security forces, intelligence and Law EnforcementAgencies.
He appreciated high state of operational readiness and morale of troops. Hesaid: “Despite our desire for maintaining peace with our neighbors, anyhostile action anywhere along our frontiers shall be effectively andbefittingly responded.”
The forum pledged that as a state institution, Pakistan Army will continueto serve the nation in support of and in coordination with other stateinstitutions.
