ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman on Friday shook handwith Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shahbaz Sharif prior tothe National Assembly session to elect country’s next prime minister.

As soon as the former Punjab CM and PML-N president reached NationalAssembly to attend its session to elect country’s next prime minister,Imran Khan stood from his seat, walked towards Shahbaz Sharif and shookhands with him.

PTI chairman Imran Khan and PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif are in the fieldfor election of Prime Minister.

The session of National Assembly has begun to elect the Leader of the House– the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan.

National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser scrutinised nomination papers of boththe candidates and held them in order. Prior to the session, lawmakers metto formulate strategy for the session. The elected prime minister isexpected to take oath on Saturday.
