ISLAMABAD – Ministry of Interior has responded over the news of the revisednotification for the Eid ul Azha holidays.
Ministry clarified on Thursday that a so-called revised notificationregarding the Eidul Azha holidays was, in fact, fake as the department hadalready made the announcement.
The ministry had earlier announced that all offices will remain closed fromAugust 21 to August 23, 2018, however, a revised notification wascirculating on social media which spread an assumption that the governmenthad extended the Eid holidays by one day.
“It is notified for general information that 21st to 24thAugust 2018(Tuesday to Friday) shall be public holidays on the occasion of thereligious festival of Eid-ul-Azha,” the fake notification said.
