ISLAMABAD – Newly-elected National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser had toadjourn Wednesday’s session for 15 minutes after members of the PakistanMuslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chanted slogans.

The relatively peaceful session turned noisy after outgoing speaker SardarAyaz Sadiq announced Qaiser’s victory. The PML-N members gathered in frontof the speaker’s dice and chanted slogans of ‘fake mandate unacceptable’and ‘respect the vote’.

The protesting members included Rana Sanaullah, Shiza Fatima and MarriumAurangzeb. Moreover, Asad Qaiser took oath amid slogans in the NationalAssembly.
