Imran Khan raises issue of FATF grey list with EU Ambassador, gets positive nod

ISLAMABAD – European Union Ambassador Jean-Francois Cautain on Monday hasassured PM elect Imran Khan that the EU will help Pakistan get out from theFATF grey list.

Imran Khan had raised issue of FATF grey list before the EU Ambassador.

The ambassador said that EU was ready to work with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) chairman Imran Khan–led government in security, economy, GSP-Plus,education, and rural development sectors.

He said this during his meeting with PTI chairman Imran Khan in Islamabadon Monday to congratulate Imran Khan for his party s victory in generalelections held last month.

The Ambassador said that the EU was ready to help Pakistan get out of FATFgrey list.

Jean-Francois said that we have no objection over the Gas pipeline projectwhich is in progress between Pakistan and Iran, adding that the EU wantsstability and development in Pakistan.

The EU envoy also said that we will help the new government to bringoverseas investors and businessmen in Pakistan.

Speaking on the ocassion, Imran Khan welcomed the Ambassador at hisresidence and thanked him for his good wishes.

He also appreciated Jean-Francois Cautain’s personal efforts and interestto improve bilateral ties between Pakistan and European Union and to helpthe people of Pakistan in difficult moments.
