PM Imran Khan chairs highest level meeting in Foreign Office, Kashmir and Kulbashan Jhadav remain high on agenda

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Foreign Office to chair thefirst ever briefing over the foreign policy of Pakistan.

PM Imran Khan is currently chairing a meeting at the Foreign Office.

Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua briefed the officials attending themeeting on Pakistan’s stance on regional and foreign issues.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other officials are attending themeeting.

The premier will be briefed on the situation in occupied Kashmir as well asPakistan’s relations with India.

“The prime minister will also be taken into confidence regarding relationswith Afghanistan, China, Iran and the United States,” they added.

The sources continued, “He will also be briefed on the Kulbashan Jadhavcase which will be heard in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) inFebruary.”

Further, sources said, “PM Imran will apprise officials at the Ministry ofForeign Affairs regarding his vision for Pakistan’s foreign policy and willissue guidelines.”

“An effective foreign policy will be drafted in line with the primeminister’s guidelines and vision.”

Sources added, “Foreign Minister Qureshi will address a press conference inthe evening to brief the nation regarding decisions taken during PM Imran’sFO briefing.”
