ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and China have expressed their commitment to furtherimprove cooperation in matters of regional and international significance.

The understanding came at the third round of Maritime Dialogue between thetwo countries in Beijing, in which bilateral ties were discussed.

Additional Secretary Imtiaz Ahmad led the Pakistani delegation while theChinese side was led by Director General Asian Affairs, Wu Jianghao.

The two sides expressed satisfaction over the current level of cooperationbetween the two countries.

They held comprehensive discussions on the entire gamut of maritimecooperation, including bilateral cooperation and exchanges between the twoNavies, cooperation in fisheries sector, maritime security, and science andtechnology.

They also agreed to further deepen practical cooperation in relevant areasfor the benefit of the two countries.
