Federal cabinet names and portfolios revealed, 18 ministers and 5 advisors included

ISLAMABAD – PM Imran Khan has taken a decision regarding the federalcabinet today and the new ministers will be sworn-in on Sunday.

“The cabinet will comprise 18 ministers and five advisers,” sources added.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry confirmed thatPM Imran wants the federal cabinet to take oath on Sunday.

“PM Imran wants the federal cabinet to start work from Monday,” Chaudhrysaid.

PTI spokesperson said, “The cabinet is likely to be finalised today.”

Asad Umar will be given the portfolio of Finance Ministry while ShahMehmood Qureshi will be given charge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Shireen Mazari will be named defence minister and Pervaiz Khattak theinterior minister while Shafqat Mehmood will be Minister of Commerce,sources further said.

Sheikh Rashid is expected to be appointed railways minister and Ministry ofHousing and Works will be under Ali Amin Gandapur, sources maintained.

Amir Liaquat is likely to be made Minister for Religious Affairs while AliZaidi will be made the IT Minister, they added.

Further, sources said, Fawad Chaudhry will be named information ministerand Shehryar Afridi will be made SAFRON minister.

Abdul Razak Dawood and Shoaib Suddle will be among the advisers, sourcessaid.

“Malik Amin Aslam is expected to be appointed adviser on environmentalaffairs,” they added.
