ISLAMABAD – British Prime Minister Theresa May called Prime Minister electImran Khan and congratulated him on being elected the Prime Minister ofPakistan.
She also expressed good wishes for the incoming government.
British Prime Minister said her government is ready to open new vistas ofpartnership with Pakistan in various sectors.
She said UK will assist the new government in every possible way. TheresaMay hoped that bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UK will furtherimprove.
Talking to her, the Prime Minister said money laundering is a serious issuefor the developing countries. He sought Britain’s support in anti-moneylaundering efforts of the government.
Prime Minister elect Imran Khan thanked Theresa May on expressing goodwishes for Pakistan.
The British Prime Minister totally agreed with the views of Imran Khan. Sheacceded to take steps with Pakistan for anti-money laundering.
