Shehbaz Sharif threatens to halt government functions

LAHORE – PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif has threatened to halt thegovernment functions if his demands are not met.

He has said that they will not let the proceedings run if a commissionagainst rigging, as promised by Prime Minister Imran Khan, was not formed.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday, he said that the oppositionalliance will get the investigation commission formed.

“Imran Khan was elected through rigging. We will not allow the governmentto commit atrocities,” he said.

He said that Nawaz Sharif had allocated Rs 122 billion for the constructionof dams.

The PML-N president said that Nawaz Sharif had imposed a ban on luxuryvehicles. “There is no need to collect funds for Bhasha Dam as investorsthemselves will come to make investment,” he said.

He said that their government had given a subsidy worth billions of rupeesto reduce the price of fertilizers to half of the actual price.

Shehbaz Sharif said that the power projects were installed throughcountry’s resources. “The CPEC is a unique gift for the people of Pakistanfrom China,” he maintained.
