President elect Dr Arif Alvi makes an unprecedented announcement

*ISLAMABAD – President-elect Dr Arif Alvi has made an unprecedentedannouncement over legal cover available to the President of Pakistan.*

*Alvi has refused immunity in a criminal case available to the President ofPakistan.*

*He will not avail the legal immunity in a case registered against him in2014.*

Reacting to a report published in an English daily on Twitter, Alvi saidhow can he seek immunity in a case in which Prime Minister Imran Khan,Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood and Finance Minister Asad Umar are alsonominated.
