WASHINGTON – US State department has released report regarding terrorismthreats in the World.
Report states the Pakistani military and security forces undertookoperations against groups that conducted attacks within Pakistan, such asthe Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
The report said that Pakistan is committed to combating the trafficking ofitems that could contribute to WMDs and their delivery systems.
Pakistan was a constructive and active participant in the Nuclear SecuritySummit process and in the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism,and worked to strengthen its strategic trade controls, including updatingits national export control list.
The report said that the State Department’s Export Control and RelatedBorder Security Program increased the Government of Pakistan’s enforcementcapacity by sponsoring training for Pakistani Customs and the StrategicExport Control Division officials on how to properly identify strategiccommodities of concern.
These commodity identification and advanced interdiction trainings wereimplemented by the US Department of Energy.
