WASHINGTON – A US General has been hit with a gunshot in Afghanistan in aninside attack, VOA has reported.
The Pentagon confirmed Sunday that a U.S. general was wounded in lastweek’s terrorist attack on a security conference in Afghanistan.
Army Brigadier General Jeffrey Smiley is recovering from at least onegunshot wound. Officials did not reveal how seriously he was hurt.
Smiley is in charge of NATO’s military advisory mission in southernAfghanistan.
