US government will boost investment opportunities with Pakistan

KARACHI: US Government will play its role to boost and explore business andinvestment opportunities with Pakistan and help benefit the people, saidMark Russell, Senior Officer, Commercial Service, Department of CommerceInternational Trade Administration, US Consulate in Karachi.

In his meeting with the delegation of America Pakistan Business DevelopmentForum (AMPAK BDF) here Wednesday, he also appreciated efforts of the forumin bringing the people of two countries closer.

AMPAK BDF Delegation was headed by Nawaid Isa, Founder and President of theforum and Managing Partner ICCMC who travelled alongwith few US businessmenand investors from Houston to launch Pakistan Chapter of this forum inKarachi.

Other members of delegation included Syed Nasser Wajahat, SecretaryGeneral, Pakistan Chapter, Akhtar Shaheen Rind, Syed Turab Shah, SecretaryCorporate Affairs, Ali Pesnani, Secretary Investment & Banking and NoorulHasan.

Mark Russell lauding the launch of AMPAK BDF in Pakistan said the USgovernment was interested to work with AMPAK BDF in future and will exploremore avenues to compliment its efforts for promotion of friendly businessrelations between the two nations.

He on the occasion also shared few ongoing and future projects aiming toenhance bilateral trade and investment and invited AMPAK BDF team to takeit a step forward.

On behalf of AMPAK BDF, Mark Russell also presented a shield to SecretaryInvestment & Banking of AMPAK BDF Pakistan Chapter Ali Pesnani.

He also appreciated efforts of Nawaid Isa, Syed Nasser Wajahat and otherteam members of the AMPAK BDF for the cause of trade and business promotionbetween the two countries.
