Indian Army martyr three youth, blew up five Houses in Occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of stateterrorism martyred three more Kashmir youth including a minor in Mujgundarea of Srinagar, today.

The youth were martyred during an cordon and search operation jointlylaunched by Indian army. The troops also blew up five houses during theoperation.

The killings triggered massive anti-India protests in Mujgund and adjoiningareas of Srinagar city. Announcements were made through loudspeakers of themosques asking people to come out of their houses and protest against theoperation.

Several people were injured when the troops opened fire on the protesters.The authorities suspended internet services. Earlier, five troops wereinjured in an attack in the same area.

Meanwhile, complete shutdown will be observed in occupied Kashmir,tomorrow, to mark International Human Rights Day as Black Day.

Call for the strike has been given by Joint resistance Leadership to drawattention of world towards gross human rights violations committed byIndian troops in the occupied territory.

In a statement in Srinagar, Chairman Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir,Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai expressed serious concern over the plight ofKashmiri detainees in jails.

He said UN has failed to stop serious violations of human rights violationsby Indian forces in Kashmir.

The activists of Awami Action Committee held a candlelight protest at AhmadNagar in Srinagar.

Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries also held a protest atSrinagar’s Press Enclave ahead of international human rights day.

Kashmir Council-Europe organised a seminar in connection with Human RightsDay in Brussels. Speakers called for implementation of demands containingin latest report of the United Nation High Commissioner for Human Rights onthe issue of rights abuses in occupied Kashmir.

On the other hand, senior Congress leader and former Indian minister,Professor Saifuddin Soz in a letter to Director, Commonwealth Human RightsInitiative, Sanjoy Hazarika, said draconian law, Armed Forces SpecialPowers Act had been causing death and destruction in Jammu and Kashmir.
