Ministry of Energy saves billions of rupees of national exchequer

ISLAMABAD – Ministry of Energy brought down electricity line losses by 1.5percent during last October, yielding a saving of two billion rupees.

According to a statement issued by Power Division today, recovery ofoutstanding dues also increased by eleven percent amounting to elevenbillion rupees.

It said eight thousand FIRs were registered against power thieves in Punjabduring one month.

Recovery drive against power thieves is being launched throughout KhyberPakhtunkhwa from today.
