Pakistan Afghanistan border fencing: Federal cabinet takes important decision

*ISLAMABAD – The federal cabinet **on Thursday has taken several importantdecisions.*

*Federal cabinet approved proposal for fencing and lighting of Pak-Afghanborder as part of a security measure on the border line.*

According to sources, the work on the border fencing will now begin afterits approval from the federal cabinet.

The federal cabinet meeting also decided to continue accountability driveand action against corruption across the country. ‘More decisions will betaken to bring back looted money to the country’, the meeting unanimouslydecided.

The top government officials, however, remained inconclusive regardingcarving out Gilgit-Baltistan as a separate province. The decision to makeGB a constitutional province was deferred by the prime minister.

Meanwhile, the 100-day performance report of the PTI-led government wasalso presented before the Cabinet meeting. All the ministers unveiled theirperformance in first 100 days of governance. The reports were submitted toPrime Minister Imran Khan.
