ISLAMABAD – U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said that Washingtonwill continue to use all peaceful means to deter Hezbollah and Iran’sinfluence in the region.
Addressing a joint press conference with Lebanese Foreign Minister GebranBassil in Labanon, Pompeo of State said Iran’s support for Hezbollah iscausing harm to Lebanon while it is limiting the chances of peace betweenthe Palestinians and the Israelis.
Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil said the two sides should work onfinding a solution on how to look at Hezbollah and how to deal with it.
He said it is our right to protect our territories against any aggressionor occupation.

The two officials also discussed the Syrian refugee’s crisis.
Bassil emphasized the need to help refugees’ return to their homeland toalleviate the burdens off Lebanon.
