PM Imran Khan accepts another big demand requested by Sikh Pilgrims

*ISLAMABAD – **PM Imran Khan accepts another big demand requested by SikhPilgrims.*

*The government has decided not to construct any buildings on the land usedby Baba Guru Nanak for agriculture, Radio Pakistan reported.*

During a meeting held to review progress on development work at KartarpurCorridor, the Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said the government willnot construct buildings on a piece of 30 acre land which was used by BabaGuru Nanak for cultivation, out of his respect.

The request for keeping this area preserved was made by former Indiancricketer and politician Novjot Singh Sidhu in a letter to government ofPakistan, minister added.

He said Kartarpur Corridor is a project of 1500 acres of land inauguratedby Prime Minister Imran Khan in January this year. “A road of 6.8kilometers will be constructed in the corridor to facilitate the sikhpilgrims coming to visit the shrine.”

The prime minister was given a detailed briefing by Frontier WorksOrganization (FWO) on the work undertaken on the corridor so far .

Meanwhile, the meeting between technical experts of Pakistan and India washeld on Tuesday at the Zero Point of the Kartarpur Corridor.

The meeting was held in a positive and constructive environment, as per anofficial statement.

The next meeting on operationalization of the corridor will be held atWagah on 2nd April.
