PTI government launches yet another initiative for youth

*ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to launch ‘National YouthDevelopment Index Survey’ in order to gauge development needs of youth indifferent areas of the country, Radio Pakistan reported.*

The decision was taken at a meeting between Special Assistant to the PrimeMinister on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar and Minister for PlanningMakhdum Khusro Bakhtyar in Islamabad.

The national youth development index survey would be a first-everdistrict-level national survey to keep a track of the data on youthdevelopment.

The index would not only help in targeted interventions for thesocio-economic development of youth but would also promote a culture ofspending on youth development among the provinces.

During the meeting, it was also agreed that government would work onscaling up the said program to accommodate more young development fellowsthrough it annually.
