New initiative launched for overseas Pakistanis by PTI government

*ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Developmenthas launched a mobile phone application ‘Call Sarzameen App’ to swiftlyaddress the issues facing Pakistani expatriates and their families.*

The application was formally launched following the complete success of itspilot project. The app’s web portal was introduced in November last year ontrial basis which received around 531 complaints, out of which, 361 hadbeen resolved while 96 were in process, Special Assistant to Prime Ministeron Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Zulfikar Bukhari toldstate-run wire service.

He said the app was developed by the overseas ministry in collaborationwith the National Information Technology Board (NITB) to introducee-governance in his ministry and provide the Pakistani diaspora instantrelief by solving their issues swiftly.

Bukhari said he would monitor the complaints himself, in addition to thePrime Minister Office, adding that “this is our valuable asset and we wouldwork day and night for their betterment.”

“The developed countries have switched to paperless culture and we have toembrace the modern technologies to bring real change in the prevailingsystem,” he remarked.

He urged overseas Pakistanis to download the ‘Call Sarzameen’ and allowtheir country to serve them in a better and efficient way.
