ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the scourge ofsmuggling has damaged the national economy and government is committed tocontrol this menace in an effective way.
He was chairing a high level meeting to prevent smuggling in Islamabad onMonday.
He said development of agriculture sector and promotion of industrialsector are very imperative to steer out the country from the swamp of loan.
The meeting decided to constitute a high level committee in supervision ofInterior Minister which will included members from interior ministry,commerce division, Finance Division and representatives of provinces.

The committee will review all aspects of smuggling and will present itsrecommendation for effective monitoring on borders, amendments in existinglaws and other related affairs within a month.
