NEW DELHI – This is How PM Modi government is trying to befool World andIndians over Occupied Kashmir scenario.

A protest of over 10,000 Kashmiris was reported by International mediaalong with video footages and pictures while Indian government claimed only20 people participated in protest.

The Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday rubbished reports suggesting thatover 10,000 people participated in a protest in Srinagar over abrogation ofArticle 370 and reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir. A statement by theministry said that the reports were “fabricated and incorrect”.

According to the Home Ministry, there have been a few stray protests acrossthe state.

“There are media reports claiming there was a protest involving 10,000people in Srinagar. This is completely fabricated and incorrect. There havebeen a few stray protests in Srinagar/Baramulla and none involved a crowdof more than 20 people,” read the statement released by the MHA.

A news report originally published in Reuters and appeared in Dawn claimsthere was a protest involving 10000 people in Srinagar.

Governor Satya Pal Malik has also confirmed that the situation in Jammu andKashmir is peaceful and gradually coming back to normalcy.

Malik also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his address to thenation after Article 370 was scrapped, saying, “Prime Minister Modi’sspeech has had a calming effect. The situation is peaceful.”
