Chottu gang case update

DG KHAN: (APP) An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has sent 16 accused of Chottu gang on physical remand for 19 days into police custody here Monday.

According to the prosecution, joint investigation team presented the 16 accused of Chottu gang including the ring leader Ghulam Rasool alias Chottu before the court where judge Wajahat Hussain Khan sent them on physical remand for 19-days.

The accused were included Ghulam Rasool, Nadir, Din Muhammad, Khalid, Ishaq, Mullan, Ghulam Haider, Hakim, Jumma, Rashid, Behraam, Bashir, Razzaq, Majid, Bhola and Qasim. The accused were sent on physical remand in a case no 47/16 registered against them in Bangla Achha police station.

The accused would be presented before the court on September 17, 2016. Tight security arrangements were made by the concerned department when Chottu gang was presented before the court.

It was pertinent to mention here that Chottu gang had surrendered before the Pak army during an operation in Kutcha area of DG Khan. Four cases under terrorism act have already been registered against Ghulam Rasool alias Chottu from 2003 to 2011including case no 15/03, 40/02, 67/11 and 69/11.
