Haris Rauf, Abbas Afridi, and Shaheen Afridi make gains, while Babar Azamand Mohammad Rizwan drop in batting standings
Pakistan’s bowlers have enjoyed a strong showing in the latest ICC T20Iplayer rankings, with several pacers and spinners climbing the ladder,while the batting contingent experienced a slide.
Pacer *Haris Rauf* jumped two spots to 24th place with 575 points, closelyfollowed by *Abbas Afridi*, who climbed to 26th with 572 points. Youngspinner *Sufiyan Muqeem* also improved his position, reaching 33rd with 542points, while left-arm spearhead *Shaheen Afridi* moved up to 34th with 541points.
However, not all bowlers saw upward momentum. *Mohammad Nawaz* slipped to58th, *Abrar Ahmed* dropped to 61st, and vice-captain *Shadab Khan* fell to73rd. At the top of the bowling charts, New Zealand’s *Jacob Duffy*retained first place, ahead of England’s *Adil Rashid* and West Indies’ *AkealHosein*.
In the batting rankings, the absence of *Babar Azam* and *Mohammad Rizwan*from T20I action since 2024 has resulted in each dropping one place to 18thand 20th respectively. *Hassan Nawaz* fell to 32nd, *Saim Ayub* to38th, *SahibzadaFarhan* to 64th, captain *Salman Ali Agha* to 77th, *Fakhar Zaman* to 79th,and *Mohammad Haris* to 88th.
India’s *Abhishek Sharma* maintained his position as the world’s top-rankedT20I batter, with compatriot *Tilak Varma* in second and England’s *PhilSalt* in third. Australia’s *Travis Head* slipped to fourth in thestandings.
