Azadi Train cultural show by PNCA

QUETTA: (APP) Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) organized Azadi Train cultural show here at Railway Station in connection with Independence Day Celebrations.

The event was organized by Pakistan Railways in collaboration of Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) and Azadi Train management.

It was attended by Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Leader and MNA Khalil George, Mayor of Quetta, Dr. Kaleemullah, Divisional Superintendent, Pakistan Railways Quetta division, Hanif Gul, Officer Incharge Azadi Train Muhammad Ali Chachar and leaders of political parties including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

A large number of people also attended the musical show and highly applauded the performance of artists.

The show started with the national song 'Jeeway Jeeway Pakistan' sung by folk singers of Pashtu, Urdu, Punjabi, Balochi, Sindhi, Brahvi, Kashmiri and Balti languages.

The folk singers who performed on the occasion included Fazal Abbas Jutt from Punjab, Shahid Ali Khan from KPK, Liaqat Ali from Balochistan, Bashir Baloch, the Pride of Performance from Balochistan, Bhag Chand from Sindh, Raja Imran from Azad Jammu Kashmir and Aijaz Hussain from Gilgit Baltistan.

The audience listened to songs and appreciated the music performers.

The PNCA in its various programs has focused on traditional music by inviting popular artists, thus highlighting the cultural values of all four provinces and Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK.

Bilal Ahmed, a participant said that it is one of the biggest cultural shows in Quetta, adding that after a long time, a large number of people attended the musical performances by folk artists in Quetta. The participants chanting slogans Pakistan Zindabad, highly appreciated Pakistan Railways and Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage for arranging Azadi train in connection with Independence Day celebrations.
