One trillion rupees development budget is unprecedented in history of Pakistan: PM

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says the government is determined to bring positive reforms in governance despite opposition from various segments.    

He was addressing meeting of the PML (N) parliamentary party in Islamabad on Friday.    

The Prime Minister said the government is accountable to the people of Pakistan and they will decide as to who delivered and who did not.     

Nawaz Sharif said today's Pakistan is much stronger and stable than the one which the present government inherited with huge problems in 2013.   

He said the PML-N Government worked very hard and now everyone can see development projects being completed on a fast pace with utmost transparency and efficiency.       

The prime minister said the government is not only working on energy projects but its aim is also to provide affordable energy for consumers. CPEC projects are being completed on fast pace and 3600 MW would be added in next few months.

Referring to allocations for the next financial year, he said one trillion rupees development budget is unprecedented in the history of the country. The government is also focused on development of Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA.      

He said the whole country is being connected through network of roads and motorways. This connectivity will bring huge dividends for business, industry, exports.

The Prime Minister directed party members to work tirelessly for resolving problems of their respective constituencies.
