Pakistan Weather Forecast for next 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: The ongoing spell of rains and snowfall continue and different parts of the country are receiving intermittent rain.

Rainfall recorded in different cities during last twelve hours:

Parachinar-18 millimetre, Jacobabad 13, Muzaffarabad and Pattan 12 Mandi Bahauddin 11 and Kotli 10 millimetre.

Rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at a number of places in Islamabad, Upper Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Balochistan, South Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and isolated places in Sindh during the next twelve hours.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Wednesday morning:

Islamabad ten degree centigrade, Lahore eleven, Karachi fifteen, Peshawar twelve, Quetta two, Murree one, Gilgit five and Muzaffarabad four degree centigrade.


The Met Office has issued an advisory in the wake of the continuing rains and snowfall in different parts of the country for the next two days.    

People living in low-lying areas and the makeshift structures have been asked to shift to safe locations to avoid any loss due to possible roof or wall collapse.

The Advisory also called for placement of earth and snow clearing machinery at pre-identified vulnerable locations. It recommended sufficient stock of food, medicines and petroleum products for far-flung and snow bound areas.
