Armed forces fully prepared to respond to any aggression: ISPR

Director General Inter Services Public Relations Major General Asif Ghafoor says Pakistan is ready to respond to any external aggression.

Responding to a statement of Indian Army Chief, he said Pakistan is a nuclear power and our desire for peace should not be misconstrued as our weakness.

He said if someone tests our patience, we will give a befitting reply to it and not disappoint the nation.

DG ISPR said current situation demands Pakistan and India to work for peace.

He said India should desist from any misadventure that could be detrimental to bilateral talks and the peace of whole region.

DG ISPR said we are ready to hold talks with India for durable peace in the region. But it is India who is avoiding the dialogue.

He said Pakistan was made a victim of terrorism during the last two decades through proxies.

Pakistan Army is the only force that successfully countered the menace of terrorism and not only created peace in the country but also supported regional peace efforts. As a result, our region is on positive trajectory of peace.

Major General Asif Ghafoor said Pakistan's relations have vastly improved with all the countries. The image of negative relevance of Pakistan has turned into positive relevance.

On the other hand, India is facing a revived political struggle in Occupied Kashmir.

They have failed to suppress the indigenous movement.

Secondly, the incumbent Indian government is facing various corruption allegations and is trying to divert attention from its problems.

He said Prime Minister of Pakistan also extended an offer of friendship to India, but they refused to reciprocate it in a positive way and rather resorted to anti-Pakistan propaganda.

The allegations of mutilation of BSF soldier are baseless and Pakistan Army has rejected it. Being a professional Army, Pakistan Army cannot commit such things.

DG ISPR said Indian army failed to satisfy even its own parliament on its fake claim of surgical strike inside Pakistan and there are a lot of doubts on it in India.

He said Indian Army Chief should avoid disturbing the peace situation.

Major General Asif Ghafoor said the world has to go to peace as wars are not a way to progress.

DG ISPR said Indian leadership should not put its burden of internal problems on our shoulders.
