48th WEF Annual Meeting begins in Davos today

The 48th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting begins in Davos, Switzerland today bringing together a record number of heads of state, government and international organizations alongside leaders from business, civil society, academia, the arts and media.

The theme of the event is "Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World".

The meeting will focus on finding ways to reaffirm international cooperation on crucial shared interests.

Alongside international cooperation, an additional priority of the meeting will be to overcome divisions within countries.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will lead Pakistan's delegation at World Economic Forum at Davos in Switzerland.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has already left for Davos to participate in interactive panel discussion entitled Strategic Outlook: South Asia and session, Asia Game Changers.

She will also hold discussion at Information and Entertainment System Initiative Stewards Meeting besides attending women leaders dinner 'The next wave of change.'
