Lahore/Washington DC: Advisor to President Donald Trump, Sajid Tarar, on Sunday stated that Pakistan’s political and military establishments have wisely availed the window opened due to emerging rifts in US-India ties.
Talking exclusively to GNN, Tarar maintained that US-India relationships are not the same. “There is a rift going on with India on Iranian oil and Russian missiles. This opened a window and Pakistan’s military and political establishments have wisely availed it”, Tarar was quoted as saying.
“Ice is melting and subsequently situation will get better [in the future]. Imran Khan will depart from the USA with political mileage. But to expect that things will quickly get back to pre-911 or pre-Osama era isn’t correct”, added Tarar.
“America realizes that Pakistan is passing through critical financial turmoil”, stated Tarar.
“India-Pakistan relationship, issue of Kashmir, issue of Shakeel Afridi and Dr. Afia Siddiqui will be discussed in Imran-Trump meeting tomorrow. Afghan policy, Pakistan’s role in region and Pak-China relationship will be center of attention in the meeting”, added Tarar.
“It’s a win-win situation for Pakistan and US”, added Tarar.
