NAB initiates another probe against Shahbaz Sharif over corruption charges in Punjab Police

*LAHORE – **NAB initiates another probe against Shahbaz Sharif over corruption charges in Punjab Police.*

*The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) initiated another probe against Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif over alleged financial irregularities in purchase of expensive Dolphin Force motorbikes.*

According to the sources, the anti-graft watchdog has summoned record of the procurement of motorcycles for the force, however, the corruption demanded purchase records from Punjab government today (May 20).

Shehbaz, being the chief minister of Punjab, had approved a project with regard to importing heavy bikes from abroad back in 2015. A unit was purchased at an inflated cost of Rs1.7 million.

Sources said 25 per cent of the imported motorcycles are standing idle because of some technical faults and that their spare parts are not available in the court to repair them.

NAB informed that former Inspector General (IG) Punjab will be inquired alongside Shehbaz Sharif after they get the records. A questionnaire will be sent in the first phase, NAB added.

NAB is alreading investigating Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Ramazan Sugar Mills reference, Saaf Pani Company reference and Ashiana-e-Iqbal housing scheme reference.
