KABUL – The Taliban group has said the ongoing talks in United ArabEmirates are focused on withdrawal of the U.S. forces from Afghanistan.
Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said no discussion has taken placeregarding an interim government, ceasefire, and elections.
According to reports, the negotiations between the United States andTaliban are underway in Abu Dhabi in the presence of Saudi,Pakistani, andUAE officials.
Earlier, reports had also emerged suggesting that the Taliban politicalleaders have shared the issue of the release of prisoners and removal ofthe names of Taliban leaders from the UN black list as well as the formalinauguration of Taliban’s political office in Qatar.
