Unprecedented in history of Pakistan, PTI to send names of 20 MPAs to NAB over corruption in Senate vote

ISLAMABAD: Unprecedented in the history of Pakistan, PTI to charge sheet20 lawmakers and seek an explanation of their actions, Imran Khan hassaid.

Names of 20 lawmakers would also be sent to the National AccountabilityBureau (NAB).

“The investigation committee will give proofs to NAB on how these lawmakerswere bribed,” the PTI chief said, challenging other parties to oust theircorrupt members.

Imran Khan in a press conference revealed the names of lawmakers who soldvotes during the Senate elections and announced to expel them from theparty.

The PTI chief, who was addressing a press conference in Islamabad said,nobody took any action was not on the buying and selling of votes duringthe Senate election. Imran claimed that between 30-40 votes were sold inthe Senate elections.

Nargis Ali, Dina Naz, Nagina Khan, Naseem Hayat, and Fauzia Bibi were namedas the female PTI lawmakers who had traded votes.

Among the male PTI lawmakers who were found guilty of trading votes byPTI’s investigation committee were Sardar Idrees, Obaid Mayar, ZahidDuranni, Abdul Haq, Qurban Khan, Amjid Afridi, Javed Naseem, Yasin Khali,Faisal Zaman, and Sami Alizayi.

The PTI chief also named Mairaj Humayun from Qaumi Watan Party,Khatoon Bibiand Babar Saleem from Awami Jamhuri Ittehad Pakistan, and Wajeeh uz Zamanfrom Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) for being involved in tradingvotes during the elections of the Upper House of the Parliament.
