Imran Khan expresses views about Pakistan Army, relations with Saudi Arabia and US in an interview to Arab media

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday expressed confidence over his party’s success in upcoming general elections 2018.

During an interview with ‘Arab News’, Imran maintained that PTI has run an ideal election campaign and next tenure belongs to his party.

He asserted that Pakistan army is the sole institution working with great transparency while other government departments are devastated by corruption.

Khan termed ex-president Asif Ali Zardari and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ‘corruption symbols’.

“All those who either belong to PTI, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) or Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) should be held accountable for their unlawful activities,” he said.

While talking about Nawaz Sharif’s imprisonment in Avenfield Reference case, Imran said that first time any privileged became accountable for his corruption which is a great success for Pakistan.

Chairman PTI said, “Pakistan has a special bond with Saudi Arabia. After becoming prime minister, I will strengthen these ties. We want a relationship of mutual interest with US.”
