Chinese Army can reach New Delhi in 10 hours in case of War: Chinese State TV

BEIJING – “It would take China’s motorised troops 48 hours and its paratroops 10 hours to reach India’s capital if war broke out,” a Chinese State television channel boldly proclaimed.

After airing the claim on a state television, a state of uncertainty is being observed not only in India but also on social media.

The startling and bold claim by the Chinese State Media has left sleepless nights in the Indian Capital.

Indian Army which is already marred with the cases of corruption and indiscipline is fighting on yet another front were it's own soldiers in a series of video and audio messages are exposing the internal deteriorating situation faced by them.

This is not the first time China has tried to use such statement as a deterrence strategy but it is probably the first statement which is specifically for Indian.

China is modernising it's Armed Forces with the latest technology and Armament in order to coup up with the latest era needs and requirements.

Similarly Indian Armed Forces are also undergoing an up gradation process and India has already become the second largest arms importer of the world second only to Saudi Arabia.

India has already signed defence deals worth $ 10 billions with United States of America in order to modernise it's Armed Forces and the obselete equipment.

United states is already arming Indian Armed Forces in order to bring India at par with China, however keeping in mind the indigenous developments and technological advancements in Chinese Military, India may take decades to reach at the level of Chinese Military.

Interestingly, this proclamation follows Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat’s comment on honing India’s Cold Start strategy for Pakistan.

Speaking at a press conference after a BSF official complained of starvation, Bipin Rawat had said that India’s surgical strikes along the de facto border with Pakistan in Kashmir can be repeated if the “situation warrants”.

In a programme of the Chinese TV channel, a video was also on aired showing the quick movement of the Chinese army.

China and India had a brief war in 1962 when Indian Army was disgracefully defeated by the Chinese Army and China had conquered large area under India.

India has already conducted bilateral military exercises with US Army Commandos in the northern region along the border with China in order to depict the strategic military ties with US.

However the Independent Military analyst also believe that Chinese Army is much more trained, equipped, disciplined and in case of Indo-China war the results are going to be even worse than the 1962 war.
