Sindh Apex committee decides to accelerate Karachi operation

KARACHI - Sindh Apex Committee has decided to carry out a major crackdown against street crimes in Karachi city.

The decision was taken at a meeting in Karachi on Wednesday, with Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in the chair.  

It was decided that an operation already underway in this regard will further be accelerated.

The Chief Minister directed that the street crimes should be controlled at any cost. He said a composite policy will be devised to control cyber crime and Interior Ministry will be contacted in this regard.

Murad Ali Shah said Chief Justice of Sindh High Court has also been requested that separate courts be nominated for the trial of street crimes.

He informed the meeting that a monitoring committee is being established for Karachi Safe City Project.  

The Chief Minister directed the officials concerned that operation should also be carried out against land grabbers by devising a composite strategy.
