PM Imran Khan had an unprecedented address to the top bureaucracy of Pakistan

*ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan had an unprecedented address to thetop bureaucracy of Pakistan.*

*He emphasized on the civil servants to bring an upward trajectory in theperformance of all departments while refraining from the politicalinfluence.*

Premier Imran called for a need to bring changes into the governancestructure of the institutions which would pave a way for achained-improvements in all domains of a system.

The system of governance is required to be revamped and an amelioratedgovernance will result in investments from overseas Pakistanis who havelots of money to cushion the tumbling economy, PM Khan stated while urgingruling elites to get rid of colonial mindset in their professional lives.

Referring to current swelling foreign loans on Pakistan, the Prime Ministermentioned “we are in a classic debt trap scenario, where were are liable topay six billion daily as interest money with our consistently surgingforeign debt.”

Institutions were destroyed by previous governments in order to facilitatetheir corruption, therefore, “Accountability is our cornerstone; system cannot run without it,” he remarked.

Citing the example from Singapore’s policies for the civil servants, the PMassured better salary structures for the bureaucrats as soon as the countrycomes out its recent major crisis.

Moreover, the premier asserted that no ill-intended pressure will beexerted on any bureaucrat, “even if someone happens to make a mistake thenI would stand by him to fix it with that person.” All of the government’spolicies are in vain, if the executive class does not implement it, headded.
