NAB to become more efficient through MES: NAB Chief

ISLAMABAD: Chairman, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Qamar Zaman Chaudhry Thursday said Monitoring and Evaluation System (MES) provided necessary data to guide strategic planning and helped improving performance and achieving better results.
Chairing a fortnightly meeting held here to review progress on MES, he said, effective Anti-Corruption Strategy had started yielding positive results.
The Bureau has introduced MES to improve its performance/working to have measurable impact on expected outcomes and implement them effectively.
During the meeting, Advisor to Chairman on MES gave presentation on working of MES and its efficacy in future.
The Chairman said MES was to track implementation and outputs systematically, and measure effectiveness of performance which helped in enhancing the operational, monitoring and evaluation capabilities.
He said MES was an important management tool to track progress and it facilitated in decision making as well as establishing links between past, present and future actions.
He directed all concerned for further coordinate and decisions taken should be implemented in letter and spirit in order to further improvement in institutionalizing support and supervision at different levels of management in NAB.
The Chairman directed all Regional Bureaus to implement MES in light of outcome of pilot project completed in NAB Rawalpindi in letter and spirit and conduct all complaint verifications, inquiries and investigations as per laid down laws/SOPs and on merit. (APP)
