Bishkek: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday—in an interview withRussian news outlet—stated that negotiations were underway betweenofficials of Pakistan and Russia for sale/purchase of sophisticated weapons.
Rehashing desire for peace in South Asia, PM Khan hoped that his Indiancounterpart will respond positively and improve Indo-Pak ties.
The premier once again reiterated that cure to all Indo-Pak issues lies indialogue only.
“To use army and force for resolving outstanding issues is nothing butinsanity”, maintained PM Khan while adding that Indo-Pak tensions willdefuse significantly in upcoming months.

Earlier today, PM Imran Khan arrived in Kyrgyzstan to represent Pakistan inthe 19th Meeting of the Council of the Heads of State of the ShanghaiCooperation Organisation (SCO), said a statement issued by the PakistanForeign Office.
PM Imran was received by Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan MukhammedkalyiAbylgaziev and the Kyrgyz Minister for Health Kosmosbek SarievichCholponbaev.
