ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Interior on Wednesday prepared a reportpertaining to excluding name of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairmanImran Khan’s close friend Zulfi Bukhari from Exit Control List (ECL).

The report prepared by the interior minister stated that his name was noton the list.

The report further stated that on the recommendation of the NationalAccountability Bureau (NAB) his name was included in the Black list.

It said that the ministry while using the arbitrary authority had grantedthe PTI leader permission to travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah.

Sources said that PTI chairman Imran Khan had telephoned the interiorsecretary and ensured him about Bukhari’s return to Pakistan.

Earlier, caretaker Prime Minister Justice (r) Nasirul Mulk had soughtreport of excluding name of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman ImranKhan’s close friend Zulfi Bukhari from Exit Control List (ECL).

The interim premier has ordered to submit report as early as possible. Itis to be mentioned here that Zulfi Bukhari was.

As per ministry notification, the immigration authorities were directed togrant one-time permission to Zulfi Bujhari for six days to perform Umrahwhen he was barred from going Saudi Arabia along with PTI chief Imran Khandue to name on ECL at the Noor Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi.

His name was placed on the no-fly list on National Accountability Bureau’s(NAB) suggestions.
