ISLAMABAD : The Embassy and Consulates General of China in Pakistanstrongly condemned the suicide attack that injured six people, includingthree Chinese workers in Baluchistan on Saturday.

In a statement, posted at the embassy’s website, they expressed sinceresympathy to the injured from both countries. The statement said,� theChinese Government has always attached great importance to the security ofthe Chinese companies and citizens in Pakistan.

�The Embassy and Consulates General of China in Pakistan strongly condemnthe violent attack in Balochistan today, and express our sincere sympathyto the injured from both countries�, the statement added.

The Embassy of China in Pakistan and Consulate General of China in Karachihave activated the emergency response mechanism immediately after theattack, maintained close communication with Pakistani side.

The Chinese side has requested the relevant Pakistani Departments toinvestigate the incident, bring the perpetrators to justice and takefurther effective measures to ensure the security of the Chineseinstitutions and citizens in Pakistan.
