Mirwaiz denounces India’s military approach towards Kashmiri youth in Occupied Kashmir

In Occupied Kashmir, Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq while denouncing India’s military approach towards Kashmiri youth has urged Narendra Modi-led government to resolve political dispute over Jammu and Kashmir peacefully.

In his Eid sermon at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, Mirwaiz made it clear to the new political dispensation in India that Kashmir dispute was a reality which could not be ignored.

He urged Pakistan and India to forget bitterness of past and start a new chapter of peace, friendship and well-being for the peoples of India, Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir.

Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, Masarrat Aalam Butt who was shifted from Jammu jail to New Delhi’s Tihar Jail on Monday has been given into custody of New Delhi’s National Investigation Agency for 10 days.

In a statement in Srinagar, JKML spokesman said Masarrat Aalam Butt was presented before Patiala House Court, which sent him into the NIA custody.

The spokesman appealed to International community to play their effective role for release of Masarrat Aalam Butt, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Aasiya Andrabi and other leaders from NIA custody.

Besides 300 companies of paramilitary forces already deployed in occupied territory in name of security for recently-held Lok Sabha elections, India is planning to deploy 200 more companies now in name of annual Amarnath Yatra, beginning July 1.

The pro-freedom circles are viewing heavy deployment of Indian forces as a part of Indian government’s plan to crush the movement with military might.

However, they say New Delhi cannot suppress freedom sentiment even if it deploys all its regular and paramilitary forces in Kashmir.

A protest rally was taken out in Muzaffarabad against the continued house detention of the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani.

The rally was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement.
